In occasione dei 40 anni dal primo album, i Simple Minds hanno annunciato la pubblicazione di un cofanetto contenente il meglio della loro carriera. Il nuovo lavoro si intitola 40: The Best Of 1979-2019 e verrà pubblicato l’1 novembre. 

Nel cofanetto – suddiviso in tre parti –  tutti i brani più famosi della band a partire dalle loro sperimentazioni iniziali fino ai classici degli anni ’80. La band scozzese ha esordito discograficamente nel 1979 pubblicando Life in a Day. La band guidata da Jim Kerr ha realizzato in carriera 18 dischi, l’ultimo dei quali è Walk Between Worlds pubblicato lo scorso anno.
