Sono stati annunciati i nomi che proveranno a conquistare i Grammy Awards 2021. Tra i nominati spiccano gli Strokes, i Fontaines D.C, Beck, i Big Thief e Fiona Apple.

Svelate le nomination ai Grammy Awards 2021

Come ogni anno sono stati rivelati i nomination che si contenderanno i Grammy Awards 2021. Ad annunciare i fortunati è una diretta apparsa sui canali social media della Recording Academy. Molte conferme e qualche sorpresa in questa lunga carrellata di nomi che come al solito andrà a premiare diverse categorie nell’ambito musicale. Tra i nomi che suscitano maggiore interesse ci sono gli Strokes freschi dell’ultimo The New Abnormal così come Fiona Apple, Michael Kiwanuka, Phoebe Bridgers, Beck, i Punisher, i Big Thief e i Tame Impala.

La cerimonia di consegna dei premi coinvolge nomi celebri del mondo della musica, e la consegna dei premi più importanti viene solitamente trasmessa in diretta televisiva (al momento, i diritti per la TV americana sono in mano alla rete CBS). La cerimonia si svolgerà il 31 gennaio con la conduzione di Trevor Noah che subentra ad Alicia Keys. 

Possono essere candidati al premio i dischi pubblicati in un arco di tempo che va dal 1º ottobre di due anni prima al 30 settembre dell’anno precedente, risultando rispetto ai premi Oscar di scadenza più arretrata.
